My Day

These are the kinds of guys I find hot. The ones who know how to relax, who seem to have enough grasp on what’s important that they find their way here on a rare sunny winter’s day in Vancouver. I mean, if you can’t find your way to seize moments like these when they’re so far and few between, what kind of life are you leading, right?

Oh, so, of course, I made my way there, so it says something about some of my values. I sprained my ankle, though, and had to cycle another 4km to the bus station, which wasn’t very much fun, but geez, this day was worth a little pain. The good things always are, n’est ce pas? And the first hour and a half rocked my world, so, hey, there’s that.

And I’d like to talk about photography for a second. This one is one of my photos I took today. I enjoy photography and have been known to snap a pretty pic or two, days like this, I love it, but I need to take a moment to say that every single photo you’ve seen on here (the Cunt), besides this one, belong to other people. They’ve been found on the web. I don’t make money off this site, so, it’s kinda fine.

But I just can’t help it, they’re all such hot and great images. I love ’em to bits. Makes for a nice look, yeah? Anyhow, I have a good eye, but they just ain’t mine. I’ve mentioned it before, but not for a while.

Yeah, there’s something lacking about true city-slickers. There’s a very diggable factor in anyone who’s into nature, to some degree. Some people take it a little far, but an appreciation for nature means you appreciate those quieter moments where life’s just a little different. Means you can handle time alone, and you’re, on some level, maybe a little more aware of yourself than the next person might be.

Or maybe I’m editorializing, but yeah, most of the people I know who are into the natural element tend to have just a different perspective behind them. I like that.

I’m a 21 year old college drop out with better than half a dozen attempted majors under his belt. I found your blog through the Query Letter Blog (i really hope they start posting on there again). I think in reading 2 of your blogs there’s more insight, intelligence, intuition, and honesty than in the 2 courses i took devoted to human sexuality and the psychology of women.

i look forward to reading more and posting my thoughts

    regards

Hey, thanks, man. I appreciate the sentiment.

Education’s vastly overrated; the quality thereof depends entirely on who they’re doing the teaching to. Often, I find it watered down and sanitized for the masses. Personally, educating myself has been a far more profitable venture than anything an institution has thrown my way. Better save your money, says me.

(Unless you’re responsible for building the world around me, then I damned well want you to be an accredited engineer, of course.)

Still, thanks. I haven’t been to that blog in some time now. Stopped, have they? They lost a lot of readers when the spammers found the blog, and they failed to regulate it.

Awesome photo Steff! I love the fog in the hills, I’m always trying to capture scenes like this. (btw.. intro coffee date tonight didn’t go so well, I think I have another friend. Not a bad ending, but sigh)

Wags — Ahh, pity about the date. I need to get back out there but I’m in one of my ‘e-dating sucks’ modes. It’s ironic, I have this board with hundreds of readers daily, but try to find one frickin’ guy in the e-dating world who appreciates what I write is like trying to find a pair of socks at the end of the laundry period. Geez. It’s really ridiculous.

I’m glad you like the photo. I’ve been posting a lot of my photography on my other blog, so you can always follow that over there, if it’s your bag. http://thelastditch.blogspot.com

Better luck on the next date.
