Canada Stands Against Fascism: February 15

Here in Victoria, from 2 to 4pm, on Saturday the 15th there's a protest or rally to stand up against the rise of fascism in North America. I'll be going. (Centennial Square.)

But this is a national day of action. Canadians coast to coast will be coming out to both stand against fascism but to show Americans we share their horror.

We cannot sleep on what's happening. The world needs to speak up. We all need to make this transition to autocracy as complicated and slow as possible, to buy Americans time to fight back.

There's not much we can do next door, but we can do this, and we can deprive the American economy of our financial support through boycotts so as to help speed their economy tanking. The faster this autocratic coup has economic repercussions for the average American, the faster there'll be a pushback against their leaders.
